Just got my first diesel… did I overpay? 1995 F250 7.3L Powerstroke

A clean two-tone like that is worth a little extra, in my opinion. Looks like you’re just missing one piece of door trim. How’s the engine? How many miles?

315k miles and a brand-new transmission with paperwork. That’s what sold me. Paid $4,500.

@Jaden
That’s a fair deal.

I’ve had it for two weeks now, and I love the dual tanks.

That’s awesome. Dual tanks can be finicky on these trucks, though.

@Payton
Thankfully, both of mine work just fine!

Don’t jinx it! :joy:

Yep, the dual tanks are definitely a bonus.

@Jaden
That’s not bad at all. I bought a 350k mile 7.3 CCLB 4x4 for at least double that. I probably overpaid, but I love it anyway.

Glad to know I didn’t overpay! Next on my list is switching out the drum brakes for discs and getting new tires.

@Jaden
You won’t gain much by swapping to discs in the rear. The drums on those are big enough, and the front brakes handle most of the stopping.

@Jaden
Agreed. Save the money for something like a 4" turbo-back exhaust—it’ll make more of a difference.

4x4 trucks are pricey. That’s just the market these days.

@Jaden
Honestly, that’s a pretty solid deal.

Good to hear!

@Jaden
I paid $6,250 for mine. It came with a 100-gallon fuel tank and a lift gate I sold for $1,300. Still my dream truck.

@Jaden
A new transmission alone is worth $4-5k. You got a great deal!

Looks like a minty old ride for $4,500!

The mintiest!
