Thinking about getting a 2019 6.7 F250 Lariat with 54,000 miles AND an ‘07 26' Airstream…whole package from family for $60k… thoughts?

Basically, I got a family deal on the table here… the truck plus a 26’ Airstream for $60k altogether.

Truck specs:

  1. 6.7L Turbo Diesel
  2. FX4 Off-Road Package
  3. Towing/Camper Package
  4. Cruise control
  5. Navigation
  6. Power windows
  7. New 20-inch all-terrain tires
  8. Bed liner
  9. Fixed running boards
  10. Blind spot monitors
  11. Bluetooth
  12. Heated and cooled front seats
  13. Fog lights
  14. Heated side mirrors
  15. Remote start

The truck’s in top shape from what I know, only selling it because they’re heading overseas for three years.

I’m leaning towards it, but any Ford folks think this sounds like a good switch for a Mopar guy like me?

6.7 is a solid truck. But honestly, all newer diesels have some issues. My family has tried every brand, and each one’s had their quirks. If you like this setup and trust it, I’d say go for it. Around here, $60k would just be for the truck alone.

This is a great deal… if you’re in need of a truck and an RV, this is it.

Honestly, it’s more on the ‘want’ list, not ‘need’… but it just fell into my lap! My impulse-buying self is having a field day :joy:

@Cam
Honestly, just for the truck alone, it’s worth it.

And it’s a no-interest deal, too. Financed over 4.5 years with zero interest… that’s hard to pass up!

@Cam
Don’t skip this deal. Future you will thank you.

Yeah, told another buddy about the no-interest deal… they think I’d be nuts not to. Looks like I’m pulling the trigger :joy:

Since it’s family, I’d go for it. If it was anyone else, I’d be a bit more skeptical.

You’re right! If I read something like this, I’d be yelling, “SCAM ALERT!” :rotating_light:

How’s your towing experience? 26’ Airstream can be a bit much for smaller spots or tight turns.

Truck can handle it, but maneuvering might be tricky if you’re not used to that size.

@Reilly
I’ve got a Class A CDL! I’ve towed everything from little dollies to 53’ trailers. It’s actually the shorter trailers that can be the trickiest.

Should pull just fine. I haul a 33’ Airstream with an F350 and it’s a breeze.

Deal sounds almost too good to be true.

If I hadn’t been with his daughter for seven years, I’d feel the same! :joy:

Daughter here, just confirming! We’re really getting a truck and an Airstream! Super excited!!

@Day
Just to clarify, when she says daughter, she means the daughter of the guy selling the truck and trailer. So yes, I’m in the clear, folks. :joy:

You didn’t mention it, but if you do get this truck, think about deleting it. Upgrade to the CP3 pump too. Not sure what state you’re in, but you can leave parts in place while making them non-functional. Only thing that costs is the tuner; I use Mini Maxx, and it’s been trouble-free for 50k miles on my 6.7.

Coming from a MOPAR guy here, I get it. I also have a couple of 7.3 Fords and they’re fantastic.

Honestly, this sounds like a solid deal for both! Trucks like these go for $60k alone, even without the trailer.

6.7 doesn’t have the headaches of the 6.0 or 6.4, but it’s good to know about CP3 vs CP4. When those pumps fail, it can cause major engine damage. Definitely look into DEF, DPF, and EGR maintenance.

Dave’s Automotive on YouTube has great videos on diesels if you’re curious.

@Tatum
Is this kind of like the smooth vs. crunchy peanut butter debate? Seems like I’m getting good info so far… betrayal of my Dodge loyalty is looking easier by the minute :joy:
