My ez-lynk’s batteries died while I was downloading a tune for my pickup. Am I doomed?
To the best of my knowledge, nothing changed if it doesn’t truly give you the tune successful message.
Get new batteries and try again, it is not worth charging if they died in the 5 minutes it takes to finish the process.
The truck restarted. I still have power when driving, but the music isn’t the same as it was before, I am heading to my friend to check on it.
Ezlynk tells us what you are running. If it does not it’s on the original tune u had.
Maybe. While I have not used an EZ Link, using the Ford scan tool IDS for your vehicle can allow you to save the module from a previous session. There are several warnings before programming begins to connect a battery charger. This is actually the first step at the dealership because there’s no guarantee that the PCM can be preserved.
Low battery voltage is the code I keep seeing. I am going to check if anything is wrong by charging the battery and calling my tuning firm.
