Hello everyone, I was just curious if anyone could assist me in recognizing this sentence. I’m aware of power steering, but I need a name or part number. Defend a line of high pressure.

Your Ford part number for that appears to be 1C343F523AA, which is the pump to hydroboost line. During the first week of ownership, my 96 experienced the infamous high pressure lines on the 7.3s shooting out of the pump.

It’s normal for these trucks’ power steering to have blown connections and rub throughs. In the last ten years, I have switched my pump to steering box line twice.
If your charge pipes are larger, the problem becomes considerably more serious.

I have replaced the box once, the lines once, and the pump once, each at different times.

It is definitely rubbing on that mount in the picture, so I will try to zip tie it or something similar. I want to make sure I get the right line the first time to avoid the hassle of returning it and trying another. I’d like to be one and done.

I really appreciate the assistance. I simply want to confirm that I placed the correct order. I will remove it soon, but it will take a lot of work to get rid of that line, haha. Before all that, I figured maybe someone could help.
