I occasionally think about upgrading to one of these model years when I see 350s and 250s offered for sale. I adore how well the F-250 rides. How much difference is the 350? One leaf spring is said to be the only significant build variation. Is that accurate?
Yes, a little bigger axle and an additional leaf spring are the only differences between a 250 and 350.
Are we still saying that about the axles? Because on my 2006-07 trucks, even the local differential shop with 40 years of experience says the F250 and F350 single rear wheel) axles are identical.
There’s mixed information online, with some claims that the F350 has three more splines on the inboard ends of the rear axle shafts.
If I get really bored, I might pull them out of my 2006 F350 and compare them to my 2007 F250. My guess is they’ll be exactly the same.
If you are comparing SRW trucks, I thought the F350 SRW was only available in the crew cab long bed configuration, but they do have the best ride quality.
There are also crew cab short box F350s available.
17 350 drw registering. My ride is probably tougher than 250 by a wide margin.
DRW? Does that mean duallie?
