New to diesel… is this normal?

Makes sense. It probably won’t be under load for at least a year, but getting this truck has been a dream of mine since I was a kid.

Enjoy it! I had a diesel as a daily and loved the mpg and power. I switched to a 7.3 gas but might go back to diesel soon.

Beautiful truck! If you ever tweak the suspension, check out Dave at One Up Offroad in Oregon. Their Steady Track system made a huge difference for me.

Even on a stock Tremor, OUO parts improve the ride. I have their Steady Track, and it’s amazing.

I live in Denver and drive to the mountains a lot. Climbing to 12,000 feet clears the DPF even unloaded. But if I’m not working the engine hard, it doesn’t clear as easily. My truck even triggered a regen recently despite the DPF reading 0%. It seems like it was due to hitting a mileage threshold.

Don’t overthink it. Your commute sounds perfect for active regens when needed. As long as you let the truck regen when it asks, you’ll be fine. Enjoy your new ride—it looks great!

Nice truck. Just drive it and enjoy it. The truck will let you know if it needs something.

I got my diesel from the same dealer! Mine’s a 2022 F250.

Looks sharp!

What APR did you get?
