New Injectors Causing 7.3 Powerstroke to Billow White Smoke… Any Advice?

If you have a muffler, it could be holding onto fuel or oil that got into the cylinders during the injector install, and it may take time to burn out. I doubt it’s the injectors unless one’s damaged. I’ve installed tons of FFD injectors without issues.

@Noah
Didn’t drop any injectors, but check out the video link. It’s definitely something in the engine or injector. Only smokes at idle, though.

Gotcha, missed the video earlier. Something’s off for sure. Once you get Forscan, run a buzz test and a cylinder contribution test. Worst case, you may need to do a compression test. I’ve heard of cases where improper injector installs caused hydro-locking, leading to bent rods, but I hope it’s not that serious. Best to check with FFD for any other ideas.

@Noah
It only acts up at idle, no hydrolock. I’ll give FFD a call tomorrow and see what they recommend.
