I’ve got a 96 F350 7.3 with 300k miles and a 2006 F350 6.0 with 230k miles. Both trucks get worked hard every day, but I keep up with maintenance, monitor them closely, and they just keep on running. I get why some folks want new trucks, but I can’t justify the cost when these still get the job done. Bought the 6.0 brand new, and it’s still on stock head bolts!
Love seeing posts like this! Keep up the maintenance, and they’ll keep treating you well.
Absolutely! No point in going into debt just to have the newest model. That 7.3 is a beauty. My favorite trucks on the road, hands down.
300k isn’t even high mileage for a 7.3. These engines are built to last.
You’ve got some real keepers there!

I agree, but I’ve been debating whether to let the 96 go. I really need another crew cab, but I wouldn’t even know where to start.
Great to see posts like this! It’s proof that there are 6.0s out there still doing just fine. My 2007 has 92k miles and runs like new. Oil to coolant temp delta is steady at 5 degrees.
Hard to beat a well-maintained 7.3! These trucks are legendary.
