Just spent $10k on a new stage 3 engine – this seems like too much.

For that much, I’d rather get a new engine. Get the head gaskets done cheaper and buy a 6.7.
Can you post the bill with parts and labor?

Format’s hard to read, but I don’t see how it adds up to $17k. Did they put new heads or reuse the old ones?
@Clay
New heads.
That makes it closer to fair, but I’d still push to get it closer to the original $12.5k estimate.

This is in Canadian dollars.
In the future, I’d recommend asking these questions before getting the work done. Bulletproofing often includes things you might not actually need.

I haven’t picked up the truck yet.
That’s way too much. What exactly did they do?

I posted the itemized bill above.
Looks like you might’ve overpaid. For that cost, you could’ve swapped in a Cummins.
Hope those Gator head studs are good – ARP has been the standard for years. Looks like you might’ve gotten taken for a ride.
Did they at least replace the lifters for that price?
Not worth it.
The 6.0 engine is a money pit, even when bulletproofed. Avoid tuning it, or you’ll be paying even more.
