Just bought my first diesel… 2021 F250 Platinum Tremor 6.7L Powerstroke

I’m excited about my new truck! It’s my first diesel, and I went with the 2021 F250 Platinum Tremor 6.7L Powerstroke. Any tips, advice, or experiences with a similar setup?

I’ve never been much of a Ford fan, but this truck is hard to hate. Congrats on the new ride!

This is the official truck of ‘I’ve earned my spot to sit in the truck and supervise while you work!’ Enjoy it, and congrats!

Haha, I’m more of a hobby rancher and a sales guy. No employees to supervise here, just me getting the work done myself.

@Teal
Same here. I’ve got a 2020 SuperDuty, and it’s a slippery slope. Started with one horse, then needed a barn, then a truck, then a trailer… next is a tractor and more acreage. Oh, and these 6.7s are scary fast, right?

@Quinlan
I used to work at GMC, and the first time I drove a Ford with this engine, I accidentally did a burnout because I wasn’t used to how quick it is. The owner laughed and said he gets it because he struggles not to do the same.

@Teal
I’ve been using these SuperDuties for work for years. They’re fantastic, but the emissions system hates idling. Be prepared for the occasional death wobble, though. Do some research because dealers aren’t great at diagnosing it.

@Blair
The 2020 and newer trucks updated the front suspension and steering to help with the wobble. The electronic power steering should prevent it.

Good to know. I’ve had it happen before, and it’s terrifying. My old Dodge had a bit of wobble too, but nothing like what I experienced with the older Fords.

Not all SuperDuties have the electronic steering, though.

Man, I hope to get there someday. That’s a beautiful truck. Congrats!

Looking at this makes me wish I went for the 250 instead of the 150, but at least I saved 30 or 40 grand.

The only new diesel I’d consider trading my old OBS for. Great choice!

That’s a beauty. Hoping to grab one later this year myself.

Badass truck. You’re living the dream.

Good for you, man. Enjoy it.

Not a Ford guy, but I get the excitement of a new ride. Congrats! Do you have plans to customize it, or are you keeping it stock?

No big plans yet. It’s got almost everything I need with the factory warranty. I’ll probably add a gooseneck hitch for my trailers and might use the upfitter switches for some extra lights, onboard air, and maybe a train horn.

What a beauty. Would be even better blacked out, though.

Blacking it out feels so early 2000s. It looks mean as is with those tires.
