Remove the turbo first to make more space. You’ll also need to pull the fender liners to access the bottom.
You should see how tight it is on the 6.7s.

I’ve heard that turbos are mounted underneath on those. I’ve never looked under the hood of one though.
It should only take about 20 minutes to pull the turbo, then you can get to the bottom Y-pipe nuts from underneath. They should slide out with no problem. If you have access to a lift, pulling the cab is also easy.

Probably, but that doesn’t sound too safe. I’d just pull the turbo and take out the Y-pipe from there. I did it just a week or two ago.
