I found an aftermarket fan that fits into the shroud and bolts directly to the fan clutch

My extensive forum study and internet research all claimed that it was impossible to accomplish and that no fans would fit. After some patience on the part of Reilly’s employee and a gut instinct or two, the goal was completed.

The parts store indicates that the part number does not match mine. Most likely purchase and give it a try. It appears to be just $80 USD.

The stores said it wouldn’t fit, but here is proof it does, :grinning:

It appears to be backwards, although I could be completely wrong. Instead of dragging air via the radiator, it will be blowing air.

I think you are right, it felt way hotter than usual outside the radiator. Good catch. I’m still running hot and just had to replace the starter that burned up,

Oh my. I am curious if the fan can be taken apart from the clutch and reversed.

I can’t screw the fan clutch back in if I flip the black shoe that bolts to it, preventing it from being reversed. I can’t reach bolts if I unbolt the fan from the fan clutch and clip.

This sounds right. The newer ones rotate counterclockwise and run on the outside of the belt, while the V-belts should rotate clockwise with the crank.
