Has anyone used Caliper Grease?

Ford actually recommends Motorcraft silicone dielectric grease for caliper slide pins. It says it right on the front label.

Where can I get that?

You can find it at the Ford dealership parts department, Amazon, eBay, and O’Reilly Auto Parts lists it too.

@Rowan
Thanks for the info!

@Rowan
You can also pick up Sil-Glyde at NAPA, Amazon, and other places. I usually buy a couple of tubes at once. It has a wide temperature range and is great for things like window regulator guides too.

I’ve used that same grease. It works fine. It’s still there even after towing my drift car over the mountains several times.

Sounds perfect!

I’d recommend using those. Just make sure you have the protective boots on the slide pins.

So you’re saying the superlube works well? If so, I’ll just return this $20 bottle of CRC.

I’ve personally used the superlube on the brakes of 3 different vehicles. It’s covered about 150k miles total and I haven’t had any issues.

I had an idea and used Permatex ceramic brake lube on my key to fix some sticky door locks on my old OBS. That was 3-4 years ago, and the locks are still smooth, even in winter.

Works fine for me too. Also makes a good substitute for ratchet grease.

Which one are you using?

Oh, I didn’t even see the second picture, haha!

I use 3M silicone grease for my guide pins and it works great.
