2022 Ford F250s… are they all this bad or did I just get unlucky?

My work truck is a 2022 F250 I got brand new with only 72 miles on it. Right off the bat, it seems like the heat/AC fan is busted, and the brakes are acting strange.

I don’t drive hard at all—basically like an old lady. The heaviest thing I’ve towed is a small boat. I can’t think of anything I’ve done to cause these problems. So… is this just how these trucks are, or do I have a lemon?

Yeah, these newer ones are rough. I’m a mechanic, and honestly, modern Fords keep me busy and paid.

That tracks. I’ve never been impressed with them either. I had an ‘04 F150 that was basically all rust by the end. Switched to a Titan (an ‘06), and somehow it’s held up much better—just minor surface rust, and I live in Minnesota.

When you say ‘any,’ do you mean even the Maverick and Bronco Sport? I haven’t heard of major problems with those.

@Sidney
Yeah, even those have had issues. A couple of places I’ve worked mentioned random no-start problems, and Ford can’t seem to figure them out.

From what I’ve seen, it might just be bad luck. But man, Ford hasn’t had the best track record lately.

Yeah, it’s going in for service for the 12th time, and they’re saying it might need to go back to the dealer. The worst part is being without my truck for a week—it’s such a hassle.
